Appalachian Sunrise Rehearsal - 4/1/11

Overall this piece has gotton really good. The stop at measure 86 sounded nice and crisp. At measure 37 violin 2, violas and cellos need to be a bit louder. Throughout the whole piece we need to do a better job at dynamics like at the very beginning measure 5.

Where are the violas??? we cant really hear them. I'm one of them.
Watch at 5. Good at 37 till 45. Violas watch c on G string.
Watch intonations on a few spots like f natural and c natural. Good for 1st at measure 66.
Big Finish at the end!!!! Use big bows and it will creat a huge hollywood sound!! Make sure its the right note though.

From 47-53 it was knd of a mess.. and so was the last note! But other than that it was good .

Okk so i think that overall we really need to work on being in tune! and we did good with the dynamics at 45 and in the beginning i dont think we are really into it and at 69 the middle sections dont sound to good...

1.need to louder at maesure 13
2.maesure 45 cello and basses needs to be softer
3.need to work on shifting at measure 77
4.Stayed together almost the whole time

in measures 55 and 56 somone in the first violin part they played fourth finger a out of tune and sometimes we slowed down and sped up.

I think I heard some off notes at 85-87 but other than that it was great.

The f sharps are alittle low at the beginning. First violins have f at 53 play louder. Good stopping at 82. From 85 to the end sounded bad. needs work!

I think we were well together and that we were loud.

M. 37 for 2nds needs to be louder. F#s in m.11 weren't very good. High c's on the G string should be reached a little farther. Otherwise, it sounded good.

Throughout the whole piece i think the second violins need to play louder especially at 37. I think that everybody really stayed together well and counted their notes correctly. At 48 second violins need to croshendo more because it sounded like we played piano from 44-53. After 82 needs work.

I think towards the end violins and violas should get a little more louder but otherwise everyone stopped or restate exact times and were together

It won't let me listen, but I think we did a fair job in playing the notes. Dynamics and musical feelings could be improved.

I didn't get to listen, but I know 1st violins need to work on the 5th position from measure 83 to the end.
Also, we did a great job at emphasizing the dynamics!

I think this piece is really good overall! I think the crescendo and decrescendo at parts like 24 and 28 for cellos could be a little bigger, and the cellos' first note in 67 was really abrupt and accented so that should be smoothed out.
